Vanda Magee Hunt Miller Pigott, 92, of Gulfport, Miss., went to be with her Lord Monday, May 20, 2013, in Gulfport.

She enjoyed quilting, cooking and puzzles, and she loved people and her church. She owned and operated Barber’s Café and the Deluxe Café in Franklinton.

She is survived by her children, Carol (Harold) Beinhauer of Gulfport, Lee A. (Carolyn) Hunt of Carthage, Texas, Teresa Jensen of Houston and M.J. (Supreeya) Miller Jr., of Carriere, Miss.; her sisters, Hilda Soileau and Geneva (Ed) Rhodes-Wegener, both of Branson, Mo.; her grandchildren, Nina Lee, Michelle Johnson, Kyle Jensen, Ben T. Slade, Carl J. Slade, Randy Hunt, Angela “Toiee” Rushing and Annie Miller; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by her numerous friends and her church family.

Her parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 23 at 11 a.m. at Gulf Haven Mennonite Church in Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 9 a.m. until the service. A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. at Magee Cemetery in Stateline, Miss.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Jo Ann Vetter, Canon Hospice and The Boyington Nursing Home staff for their care and love for their mother.
