Charlene Betty Sandidge Williams, 84, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013, at her residence in Brookhaven, Miss.
Born June 13, 1928, she was a member of Johnson Grove Church of Christ and a retired inspector from the Gaylord Bag Plant in Bogalusa. She was a native of Mississippi but had been a long-time resident of Bogalusa.
She is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Williams Jr. of Brookhaven; three daughters, Barbara Jean (Roy) Giacone of Covington, Jeanette (Stuart) Parker of Bogalusa and Vicki Lynn Miller of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Kevin Michael Giacone, Bryan Paul (Beth) Giacone, Barry (Heather) Parker, Wade (Shannon) Parker, Darren Parker, Toby (Jill) Miller, Trent (Kim) Miller, Terri Herndon and Denny (Amanda) Miller; one sister, Margie Case Smith of Brookhaven; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sidney Sandidge of Brookhaven and Billy Wayne Sandidge of Lexington Park, Md.
Her parents, Rex and Minnie Sandidge, a brother, Harvey R. Sandidge Jr. and a sister, Clara M. Leggett, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 12 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, 76 Highway 51 South, Brookhaven, from 5-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Easthaven Cemetery.
