MITCHELL

Wilma Dorothy Stevenson Mitchell, 87, was born on Aug. 15, 1925, and passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at her residence in Springfield. She is survived by two sons, Thomas M. (Donna) Mitchell and Jimmie C. (Cathy) Mitchell, both of Bogalusa; two daughters, Rebecca (Harry) McBeth of Springfield and Lynda (Terry) Jerrell of Bogalusa; four sisters, Jackie (Rudy) Dugas of Bogalusa, Lucille Stevenson Raborn of Picayune, Miss., Carol Stevenson Turner of Spanish Fort, Ala., and Linda Stevenson Kirkland of Bogalusa; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband, Myrant Dorsey Mitchell; one daughter, Patsy Louise Mitchell Davisher; her parents, Thomas Monroe Stevenson and Doris Lawrence Stevenson; one grandson, Dewey Myrant Mitchell; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Grace Watts; and one great-great-grandson, Urijah Paul Wells.

Visitation and services will be held on Thursday May 2 beginning at 9 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Ronald Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Pounds Cemetery in Bogalusa.
