Robert William “Bob” Patridge, 69, died at 2:38 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his residence in Franklinton.
Born Dec. 3, 1943, he was U.S. Army veteran who enjoyed spending time with kids, working on their bikes and playing Santa Claus. He also enjoyed seeing and visiting people that he met.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Sheridan Patridge of Franklinton; a daughter and son-in-law, Angel Dubuisson-Aouididi and Haussem of Covington; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Patridge Jr. and Becky of Franklinton, Joseph Edward Patridge and Victoria of Chesbrough and Randy Woodward and Heidi of Thomas; his grandchildren, Karen Elaine Dubuisson, Kenneth John Dubuisson Jr., Jessica Caitlin Patridge, Joseph Edward Patridge Jr., Eddie Rohner, Chanceston Jace Woodward and Caden DeWayne Woodward;
one great-grandchild, Jasmine Danielle Hannan-Dubuisson; a sister-in-law,
Bernetta Patridge of Florida; and a special uncle, Claude Westmoreland of Bassfield, Miss.
His parents, Charles and Norma Westmoreland Patridge; a grandchild, Robert John Dubuisson; and a brother, Edward James Patridge, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1 at Crain Funeral Home from 6-10 p.m., and will continue on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Mike Stafford, the Rev. Fred Brumfield and the Rev. Denny Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Corkern Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Claude Westmoreland, Freddy Navailhon, Donald Westmoreland, Dale Westmoreland, Bradley Westmoreland and Matthew Amann. Honorary pallbearers are J. D. Strickland, Dutch Amann, Walter Westmoreland, Eric Westmoreland, Ronnie Westmoreland and Garland Westmoreland.
