WELLS

Bobby Wayne Wells, 62, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at his residence in Bogalusa.

Born July 12, 1950, in Independence, he was a United States Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of Varnado Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wells of Bogalusa; three sons, Tim Wells of Bogalusa, Mark Wells of Houston and Christopher Allen (Lillian) Patterson of Bogalusa; two sisters, Mildred (Melvin) Freeman of Bogalusa and Diane Strahan of Sun; two brothers, David (Margaret) Wells of Mississippi and Glenn (Katie) Wells of Denham Springs; grandchildren, Tyler Wells, Jessica Patterson, Heather Patterson, Noel Patterson, Joseph Yarbrough, Rayne Yarbrough, Destiny Keaton and Cheyenne Keaton; brothers-in-law, Ricky Dale Crain and Billy Ray (Mary Jean) Jenkins, both of Bogalusa; and special friends, Harvey Dykes and Gloria Woods.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, René Wells; a son, James Lavell Patterson; his parents, Fred and Esther Wells; his sisters, Betty Jo Provost and Shirley Williams; and his brothers, Junior Wells and Jerry Wells.

Visitation was held Tuesday, April 30 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m., and continues on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Patrick Magee officiating. Interment will follow at Pounds Cemetery.
