STATHAM

Myrtis Acosta Statham, a resident of Covington, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mandeville. She was a native of Belle Rose, born May 16, 1917.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Statham of Covington; a son, Robert (Rosalie) Statham of Covington; a grandson, Scott Statham; and a great-grandson, Caleb Statham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Statham; a daughter, Judy Statham Pennington; a son, Larry Statham; her parents, Eric Pierre Acosta and Irene Blanchard Acosta; two sisters, Alice Hall and Ruby Gaude; and a brother, Eric Acosta.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 27 at Annunciation Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. The Mass will begin at 11 a.m., celebrated by Father Patrick Collum. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
