GARD

Glenda G. Gard, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

She attended the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville, Ky., and later, Mayo Vocational School in Paintsville, Ky. She worked at the Printing House for the Blind in Louisville, where she met and married her husband on Feb. 25, 1966.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Nell Glenn of Jenkins, Ky.

She is survived by her husband, Peter Gard; two sisters, Mickey Newsome of Richmond, Ky. and Gail Kapanui of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and one brother, Richard (Karen) Glenn of Winchester, Ky.

A memorial service will be held for Glenda Saturday, April 27 at 4 p.m. at Calvary Christian Fellowship in Bogalusa.
