Geneva Phelps Nielsen Bell, 70, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at her residence in Bogalusa.

Born June 11, 1942, she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Lesia Nielsen Rawls and Joseph Rawls of Pine; Therisa Nielsen Williams and Todd Williams and Carlyon Nielsen Johnson and Mark Johnson, all of Bogalusa; four grandchildren and spouses, Jeremy and Samantha Rawls of Pine, Japheth and Brenna Rawls of Pine, Kandon and Richard Langston, and Mathew Williams and fiancé, Nori Long, all of Bogalusa; five great-grandchildren, Jude Rawls, Alexus Rawls, Anden Langston, Sophia Rawls and Kade Langston; four sisters, Betty Ann Carnegie and Joyce Creel, both of Franklinton, Mary Jane Allen of Folsom and Gail Phelps of Sturgis, Miss.; and two brothers, Curtis Ray Phelps of Franklinton and John Phelps of Biloxi, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert G. Nielsen and David Bell; her parents, John and Gertrude Walker Phelps; a sister, Dorothy Phelps; and a brother, Charles Phelps.

Visitation was held Thursday, April 24 at Pine Missionary Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Bro. Brent King, Bro. Mike Stewart and Bro. Clay Norwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Community Cemetery.
