Jessie H. Day, 85, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Canon Hospice in Jefferson. She was born Sept. 23, 1927.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda (Paul) Sanchez of Gretna, Kathy Davis of Bogalusa and Phyllis (Edgar) Weinstein of Madisonville; two sons, Wilson (Sandy) Hebert of Bogalusa and Ray (Diane) Hebert of Algiers; one brother, Sonny (Doris) Hebert of Lockport; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Thomas Day, preceded her in death.

Visitation was held Thursday, April 18 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. when the funeral services will be held, officiated by the Rev. Pete Underwood.

A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. at Westlawn Mausoleum in Gretna.
