WILLIAMS

Mary C. “Gran” Williams, 98, was born on May 11,1914, and departed this life Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at her residence.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Sara W. Johnson of Los Angeles and Geraldine Bennett of Bogalusa; one godson, Duane (Pat) Jordan of Baton Rouge; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Williams Sr.; a lifelong companion, Willie “Bill” Crawford; her mother, Clara Oatis; two sons, Fred Williams Jr. and Steven Ward; and two daughters, Gayle E. Jenkins and Berris Penn.

Visitation will be this morning at Annunciation Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11a.m., celebrated by Father Patrick E. Collum. Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
