Assistant District Attorney Scott Gardner has been elected to the 22nd Judicial District bench.

Gardner won the Division G judgeship over opponent Alan Zaunbrecher with 72 percent of the vote – 13,538-5,216. The race was in St. Tammany and Washington parishes.

Washington Parish voters cast 3,338 votes for Gardner and 1,179 for Zaunbrecher.
