PIGOTT

Willie Ray Pigott was the eldest son born to Inez and late Earnest R. Pigott on May 7, 1948, in Bogalusa. He departed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at 10:58 a.m. in Stoughton Community Hospital in Stoughton, Wis.

At an early age, he joined and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Ivy Williams at Pilgrim’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Angie. After uniting in matrimony with Jo Ann Brown Pigott, daughters were born to the union and one stepson was reared.

He leaves to cherish his memory seven daughters, Janice Lowery, Willie Doris, Phoebe, Julia and Michelle Pigott, all of Milwaukee, Wis., Reagan Inez (Fredrick) Bailey of Nashville, Tenn. and Louanner Pigott of Madison, Wis.; 23 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his loving mother, Inez Myres Pigott; five sisters, Louanner (Leroy) Spikes, Debra Jo Peters and Tracey E. Robinson, all of Angie, Doris (Charles Sr.) Jackson of Radcliff, Ky., and Undrethia (Barnett) Moses of Moss Point, Miss.; four brothers, Willie James (Stella) of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Bernard of Walla Walla, Wash., and Irvin Sr. (Gwendolyn) and Kenneth Sr. (Ella), both of Angie; three uncles, BJ Pigott of Sandy Hook, Miss., Julius (Robert) Pigott of Mansfield, Ohio, and Claude Burrell of Angie; and one aunt, Irene Myres of Angie.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 30 at Cook-Richmond and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with Elder Leslie Fields Jr. officiating. Eternal resting will be Dillon Cemetery.
