Bell will be ringing

As part of the renovation/enhancement activities that have been going on at Resthaven Living Center for many months now, a new chapel has been built and will soon be ready for occupancy. Carpenters are working to complete the bell tower that will sit atop the bell that was just recently installed. Shown cutting pieces of foam to be used as part of the installation of the bell tower is Israel Martinez of Thomas. At right, ready to retrieve the cut piece, is De’Ta McGowan of Bogalusa. The bell tower itself, the base of which has been constructed but not yet stained, can be seen behind Martinez. The cross, although the same color as the wood trim, is made of steel. The pastel green metal roof is in the process of being installed.
