Mary Lavine Seal, 70, a resident of Varnado, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center. She was born Feb. 14, 1943.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy “Slick” Seal of Varnado; one daughter, Tamara (Randy) Magee of Bogalusa; one son, Jimmie W. Magee, also of Bogalusa; a sister, Earline Stilley of Bogalusa; three granddaughters, Latasha D. Brooks (Eddie) of Pearlington, Miss., Chasity Anthony of Covington and Victoria M. Welch of Franklinton; two brothers, Lanny Miley of Grand Bay, Ala., and Larry (Linda) Miley of Varnado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Sanders Magee, and her parents, Burns and Hester Miley.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 20 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Central Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Eld. Doyle Ball and the Rev. Nelson Bracey will officiate.
