Nina Elizabeth Quinn Rumsey, 79, a resident of Slidell, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013.

She is survived by her sisters, Ivon (Rudolph) and Betty (Sam) Duke; her brother, Alexander “Bud” (Margaret) Quinn; four children, Linda Sue (David) Jamison, Penny Rae (Charles) Rainer, Sharon Kay McClendon (Gary Rawls) and Karen Jay Davis (Steve Toler); grandchildren Gerald Ray (Juli) Mabry, Raymond Lee (Kimberlee) Raby, Daniel Ray Mabry, Brian Ray (Emily) Mabry, Nina Marie Yates, Michael Ward McClendon, Joshua Hunter McClendon and Kevin David Jamison; four great-grandsons; seven great-granddaughters; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved as her own. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Gerald Rumsey; a grandson, George Frank Matthew Yates Jr.; her mother and father, Ola Waters Quinn and Page L. Quinn; two sisters, Izora Waters and Beulah Aiken; and two brothers, Page Leonard Quinn Jr. and C.J. Quinn. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at D.T. Williams Funeral Home in Pearl River. Interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
