Numerous children were in the audience Sunday for a preview showing of a film series that documents local history during the civil rights era. Film producers and the hosting Robert “Bob” Hicks Foundation stress the importance of recording and sharing history in order to educate and empower, and to use it as a base for positive strides in the future.
