PENTON

Edith M. Penton, 87, a native of Bogalusa, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at her residence in Slidell.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra Aime of Slidell and Thelma Rollins of Bogalusa; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Penton; three sons, Pete Penton, Charles Ray Penton and Edward Penton; two daughters, Frankie Simonson and Jo Ann Thomas; her parents, Burton and Georgine Ann Quave; and several brothers, sisters and grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 26 in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Milton Penton officiating. Burial will be in Grantham Cemetery in Bush.
