SAUNCH

Willene Slocum Saunch, 58, a resident of Bogalusa, departed this life Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Gulfport, Miss. She was born on Dec. 4, 1954.

Five children survive her. Her sons, Phillip Collins, Paris Collins and Courtney Collins; her daughters, Kemsha (Walter) Smith and Krystle Matthews; her grandchildren, Brenton Morris, Alexis Collins, An’neKeyara Turner, Malik Collins, Zhakyra Bickham, Parris Collins, Zavion Collins, Pharran Collins and Courtney Collins Jr.; and three special sisters, Carolyn Morris, Gwendolyn Smith and Alicia Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Saunch; her parents, Hazel Slocum and Donald Slocum; four brothers, Joe Slocum, Willie Slocum, jerry Slocum and Ernie Drown; one sister, Joyce Bushrod; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Crain & Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa from 2-4 p.m., with a family hour from 6-7 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Christopher Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Thompson Cemetery in Angie.

After the burial, there will be a repast for family and friends at Pat and Lat’s Place at 1304 Marshall Richardson Road in Bogalusa.
