MILEY

Lance Todd Miley went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013.

Even though he couldn’t talk, Todd touched many people during his 38 years with his beautiful smile and expressions with his eyes. When he had company, he always wanted them to look at all the pictures at the head of his bed and to comment on the bright cheerful balloons that always filled his room. He loved his church family and always enjoyed the children from Pine Grove Baptist Church who came faithfully every year to sing Christmas carols with him.

Todd was a great blessing to all who knew him and his family will miss him very much. There was a special bond for many years with his former pastor Bro. Clyde Cooper and Sister Gail, and he enjoyed their visits. He was just beginning to learn to love Bro. Mark Hobgood, his new pastor, and Sister Penny, and looked forward to seeing them.

He is survived by his loving mother, Judy Knight Miley; his sister, Nicole (Austin) Francis; a niece, Leslie Strate; a nephew, Alan Strate; his very special aunt, Sharon Seals; his cousins, Delton (Tracy) Seals, Stephen Seals and Adam Seals; a special aunt, Elaine Knight; and Mrs. Muriel Spencer, and two loving sitters, Kellie Ard and Bonnie Cothern.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lon C. Miley; his maternal grandparents, O.L. “Jack” and Aline Knight; and paternal grandparents, Artis and Myra Miley.

Visitation was held Friday, Feb. 22 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. and continued on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m., with Elder Clyde Cooper and Elder Mark Hobgood officiating.

Pallbearers were Austin Francis, Alan Strate, Delton Seals, Adam Seals, Stephen Seals, Randy Branch, Ricky Easterling and Byron Forbes.

Family and friends may visit and sign the online guestbook at www.brownmcgehee. com.
