The Bogalusa Police Department arrested Donovan J. Owens on Monday and charged him with last Tuesday’s armed robbery of Rico’s on Columbia Street at Davenport Avenue.

Assistant Chief Rocky Gerald said officers spotted Owens walking on Davenport Avenue Monday and took him into custody without incident.

Owens was charged with armed robbery and the enhancement of armed robbery with a gun.

He is suspected of running into the store wielding a gun and demanding money at about 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 12.

The robber was given an undisclosed amount of money and got away. No one was injured.
