Amber Yvonne Courtney Enix, 32, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 at her residence in Chester, S.C.

Born Jan. 28, 1981 in Bogalusa, she was the daughter of Tracy Aaron Courtney and Patricia Ann Foster Courtney of Bogalusa. She was a graduate of York Comprehensive High School Class of 1999 and attended Winthrop University. She enjoyed singing and seasonal decorating, and she was employed by Champion Laboratories in York, S.C.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of eight years, Jeffery S. Enix; two sisters, Honor Mease and her husband Thomas of Savannah, Ga., and Genia Murray of Chauvin; one nephew, Elijah Murray of Chauvin; her maternal grandmother, Yvonne Foster of Bogalusa; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her dog, Bashful.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Barron Funeral Home in Chester, with Rev. Melvin Pressley officiating. The family received friends and family on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
