MIZELL

Dorothy Mae Harvey Mizell, 86, a resident of Covington, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Northshore Specialty Hospital in Covington.

Born Oct. 13, 1926, she was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Gulfport, Miss. She loved her family and was very supportive of each of them. She enjoyed reading to her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann King of Covington, Faye and Glen Molsbee of Gulfport and Argie and Ronald Rivers of Jackson, Ala.; a son, James L. “Troy” Mizell of Covington; 12 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Clinton L. Mizell; a son, Clinton L. “Roy” Mizell; her parents, Mary Selene Neal Harvey and Joseph Rufus Harvey; two grandsons, Robbie Molsbee and Brad Mizell; two sisters, Thelma L. Beach and Martene Minton; and two brothers, L.J. “Joe” Harvey and Jessie Harvey.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Mt. Zion United Pentecostal Church, 18018 Lee Road in Franklinton, from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 3 p.m., with Dr. Robert G. Molsbee, Rev. Leon Hickman and Rev. Ronald Rivers officiating. Burial followed in the Byrd/Letchworth Cemetery.
