GARD

Glenda G. Gard, 69, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Thursday, Jan., 31, 2013, at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

She was born on April 1, 1943, to Richard and Nell (Wynn) Glenn in Jenkins, Ky. She attended the Kentucky School for the Blind in Louisville, Ky., and later, Mayo Vocational School in Paintsville, Ky. She worked at the Printing House for the Blind in Louisville, where she met and married her husband on Feb. 25, 1966.

She is survived by her husband, Peter Gard; two sisters, Mickey Newsome of Richmond, Ky., and Gail Kapanui of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and one brother, Richard (Karen) Glenn of Winchester, Ky.

She was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Bogalusa.
