JAMES

Paul Samuel James, 64, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013. at his sister’s home. Born May 1, 1948, he was a resident of Kentwood.

He is survived by one son, Kevin James of Amite; four grandchildren, Katie Cox, Jodie James, Bodie James and Hayden Wagner; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Juanita Pace of St. Amant, and Rita (Donald) Holden, Nan Morris and Barbara Walker, all of Amite; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Candy Walker of Amite; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney James and Mary Parker Walker; a sister, Betty Phillips; and a brother, Charles James.

Visitation was held Saturday, Feb. 2, at Friendship Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Walter Mixon officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
