SMITH

Ruby Lee Keating Smith, 72, a resident of Franklinton, died at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013.

A homemaker, she was born Nov. 3, 1940, in Lexie, Miss., the daughter of the late Willis Edmon and Dollie Mae Morris Keating.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Alan Dale Smith and Daniel “Danny” Smith; one daughter, Glenda Diane Smith; one great-grandson, Peyton O’Bryant; and one brother, Bobby Jewel Keating.

She is survived by one son, Denford Smith of Pine; four daughters, Ann Phelps of Bogalusa, Brenda Broom of Foxworth, Miss., Ruby Fish of Tylertown, Miss. and Betty Ginn of Columbus, Miss.; one brother, Roy Keating of Bogalusa; one sister, Joyce Stafford of Magnolia, Miss.; her loving companion, R.O. Warren, and his children, Norma Jean Smith, Rondal Warren, Marie Gerald, Raymond Warren and Misty Verdin, all of Pine; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 20, from 2-10 p.m. The funeral services were held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Rushing Cemetery.
