Willie Mae Wascom, 94, a resident of Bogalusa born Oct. 31, 1918 in Mt. Hermon, passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa.

She is survived by a son, Denton Earl (Doris) Wascom of Bogalusa; two grandsons, Kirk Wascom of Atlanta, Ga. and Mark (Claudia) Wascom of Brandywine, Md.; and two great-grandchildren, Alex (Kristen) Wascom of Jacksonville, Fla. and Brittany Wascom of Auburn, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. W. “Stumpy” Wascom; her parents, Denton Oscar Morris and Eunice Kemp Morris; two sisters, Winnie Bacot and Annette Garrick; and two brothers, Jewel Morris and Donald Morris.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 20 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Michael Bassemier officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
