William Patterson, 73, born March 30, 1939, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Mable Patterson of Franklinton; one son, Jeff (Carolyn) Patterson of Franklinton; five daughters, Janice (Darrell) Mayo of Norcross, Ga., Jacqueline McCant of Franklinton, Jeanetta Hampton of Norcross, Ga., Jonta Edwards of Gorland, Texas and Delphia Kennedy of New Orleans; two brothers, Johnny Patterson of Franklinton and Alton (Sadie) Patterson of Westwego; six sisters, Geraldine Thompson of Franklinton, Verlean Bolty of Harvey, Louise Kagler of Franklinton, Audrey Smith of Houston, Texas, Lottie Meuchelboeck of San Antonio, Texas and Ada Hart of Franklinton; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ora Mack Patterson; one son, William Patterson Jr.; one brother, Robert Patterson; and four sisters, Viann Patterson, Augustine Hart, Thelma Merrell and Lillean Brown.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 19 at Crain & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Franklinton from 3-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. at Greater Hayes Creek MBC with Rev. Jerome Warren Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Hart Cemetery.
