The office of Washington Parish Coroner Roger Casama is temporarily without it’s telephone line, but it can be reached, and the problem has nothing to do with a lack of funding.

The line was reportedly not disconnected due to a lack of payment.

According to the Coroner’s Office, Casama was cutting back on his telephone package and accidentally included the main line with those to be terminated. The office did not realize the line had been cut off until late last week.

The service is supposed to be back up and running by this Thursday. In the mean time, anyone who needs to contact the Coroner’s Office can do so by calling Investigator Dan Whittington at 985-241-1408.
