“What a friend we have in Jesus” was the theme at the Family and Friends Day held recently at Second Missionary Baptist Church, where students from Bogalusa and Varnado took time to praise and worship at the well-attended event.

Rev. Keith Sanders, pastor of Gaines Chapel in Franklinton, was the guest speaker, sharing speaking duties with Bailin Youngblood from Mary’s Chapel Methodist Church in Varnado.

In addition to the Second MBC dance group, performers included the Sweet Beulah Baptist Church drill team, the New Triumph Baptist Church mime group and the Tree of Life Baptist Church Choir, with soloist Brian Jenkins.
