RODEHEAVER

Elma Grace Rodeheaver, 84, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 at her residence in Bogalusa.

“Mrs. Elma” was known by so many as “Ms. Rody” from their business, “Rody’s Amusement Center and Po-Boy Shop.” She and her husband, Walter, ran the business for 21 years. Born Oct. 15, 1928, she was a member of Main Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, David (Elana) Rodeheaver of Bogalusa; a daughter, Deborah (Vaughn) Reynolds of Ventress; a sister, Mary Ruth Collier of Corsicana, Texas; four grandchildren, Kassie and Joseph Rodeheaver and Leigh Ann and Matthew Reynolds; a very special family, Mike and Patsy Jenkins; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter George Rodeheaver; and four sisters, Leota Pharris, Elsie Cothern, Marie Dickerson and Bertha Baham.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 6 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from noon until time for the funeral service in the chapel at 2 p.m., with Rev. Scott Baham officiating. Interment will follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Spring Valley Road in Bogalusa.
