Annie Lee Davis Jackson

Annie Lee Davis Jackson, 70, made her transition on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at 3:15 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.
Annie Lee, “T” Ann or AJ, as she was often called, was born to the union of the late Bessie Lee Curry Davis and the late D.J. Davis on Aug. 14, 1940 in Bogalusa.
She leaves to cherish her many lovable memories one sister, Katherine “Kat” Smith of Bogalusa; two brothers, Horace Davis Sr. (Joy) of New Orleans and Lionel Brock of Mississippi; one sister-in-law, Abertha T. Cowart; four nieces, Lydia Cowart Moses, Janice M. Davis, Dietrich Davis, Marie Smith-Ishman (Donnie), and one niece-in-law, Barbara Cowart; seven nephews, Victor N. Cowart, David J. Smith, Thefety T. Cowart (Shelia), Rev. Keith Cowart, Robert “B.B.” Smith (Vaneda), Sean L. Smith (Lisa), Horace Davis (Renada); a host of great- and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; and some lifelong acquaintances and cartakers, Wilburine Pollard, Debra Plummer, Rebecca Marks, Veronica Adams-Smith, Millicent Primes, Renee Norris, Ricky Allen and Shirley Burns.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Bessie L. Curry Davis and D.J. Davis; her grandmother, Luberta “Mama Tisha” Curry; one sister, Gloria D. Cowart; two brothers, Freddie C. Cowart and Charles R. Cowart; one nephew, Andrew Cowart; and many other family members.
Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at Second Missionary Baptist Church at 1 p.m., with Rev. Darrly Self officiating.
