Stanley Lorenza Merritt, 67, born Aug. 26, 1945, passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.

He was a veteran in the U.S. Navy and a member of American Legion Post No. 24 and a longtime member of Palestine Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Talley Merritt of Bogalusa; a son, Barclay Wayne Reynolds of Ponchatoula; two daughters, Evelyn Fleming and Kimberly Ann Entrican, both of Bogalusa; 12 grandchildren, Joseph C. Beaudette, Brandi E. Dutruch, Anthony J. Beaudette, James L. Entrican, Kasie C. Tadlock, L. Donavon Tadlock, Walker S. Andrews, Barclay G. Reynolds, Jonathon W. Reynolds, Courtney A. Reynolds, Camryon A. Reynolds, Meghan L. Reynolds and Sarah R. Reynolds; 11 great-grandchildren; and host of nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Rev. Fred Brumfield will officiate the services and interment will follow at the Talley Family Cemetery.
