The Bogalusa City Council regularly meets on the first and third Tuesdays of a month. But this year, the first Tuesday of November is Nov. 6, an election day.
The regular council meeting will be moved to Thursday, Nov. 8, with condemnation hearings taking place on Wednesday, Nov. 7. Both meetings will start at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
The regular meeting will include two public hearings, one on an ordinance to revise the 2012 budget and the other on an ordinance for the city to purchase property.
Additionally, Bryan Barrios, chief executive officer for Archon Information Systems, is scheduled to speak, said Councilwoman Oneita Graham.
Two ordinances involving Archon were on the agenda to be introduced during the last regular meeting on Oct. 23, but were withdrawn. They are expected to be introduced Thursday.
Both would authorize the mayor to enter into agreements with Archon, one to handle the sales of adjudicated properties and the other for the company to handle the city’s annual tax sales, Graham said.
She encourages any members of the public with questions to attend the meeting.
