Bogalusa curfew remains in effect

The City of Bogalusa has extended its 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew through Friday morning, city officials said.
Also, in a bit of good news, parish officials said the Bogue Chitto River is expected to crest at 19 feet, not 21 feet as originally predicted. The river is expected to crest at 1 a.m. Saturday and should not pose serious problems, officials said.
LSU Medical Center is resuming normal operations Friday and will open its outpatient clinic and outpatient services as per their usual schedules and locations.
Washington Parish has continued to experience bands from Tropical Storm Isaac this afternoon but by tomorrow the rain should be gone. As of Friday afternoon, parish President Richard Thomas said nearly 10 inches had fallen since Monday.
