A seminar on the State Trade and Export Promotion Program is being held Tuesday, Aug. 28 at the Ponchatoula City Hall from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
With more than 6.5 billion potential customers outside the U.S., exporting offers new opportunities for discovering new markets and increasing profits. Small businesses interested in increasing sales and attracting new customers should make plans to attend an informational seminar on the program.
Through STEP, which is administered by Louisiana Economic Development and funded by the US Small Business Administration, qualified businesses can be reimbursed up to $5,000 for expenses related to entering new markets. This program is a great way to fund your business’ current exporting endeavors or a jumpstart for your business to begin exporting.
On-site registration for the program will be available for businesses ready to expand into new markets. There is no cost to attend.
