The first stop in U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu’s visit to Bogalusa Wednesday was at the International Paper facility where the longtime forestry proponent praised IP and its partnership with the city and Northshore Technical Community College, Sullivan Campus. She added that the company might be eligible for federal grants and for tax credits associated with compliance with environmental standards. Pictured from left are State Sen. Ben Nevers, state Rep. Harold Ritchie, Mayor Charles Mizell, Landrieu and IP’s Bogalusa mill manager, Todd Crutcher.
