Johnnie Daniel, The Daily News 2011 Outstanding Citizen of the Year for Franklinton, will be honored during a reception to be held Sunday, Aug. 26, at the town of Franklinton City Hall at 3 p.m.

Light refreshments will be served.

Daniel, chairman of Washington Parish Recreation District 1, was recently selected as Citizen of the Year by a committee of former recipients of the honor.

The public is invited to attend.
