Josephine Davis Pittman

Josephine Davis Pittman, 80, a longtime resident of Pine born June 3, 1932 in Washington Parish, passed away the night of Friday July 20, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Denham Springs.

She was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church.

She was survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Becky Davis Fitzpatrick and husband Paul; two sisters, Lou Eaton of Corrigan, Texas and Fannie Longmire of Independence; six grandchildren and spouses, Brad Fitzpatrick of Denham Springs, Jeffrey and Shelly Fitzpatrick of Fort Myers, Fla., David and Theresa Fitzpatrick of Baton Rouge, Randall and Sandra Westmoreland of Pine and De’Shay and Kirsty Westmoreland of Pine; seven great-grandchildren, Owen, Alanna, Bradley, Brock and Chandler Fitzpatrick and Madison and Drake Westmoreland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Pittman; daughters, Annette Westmoreland and Mary Pittman; a great-grandson, Devin Larson; her parents, Johnny and Martina Davis; brothers, Nelson and Clayton Davis; and sisters, Ethel Lambert, Frances Adams, Ruthie Matte and Pat Bayard.

Visitation was held Monday, July 23 at Crain Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m., with Eld. Clyde Cooper, Rev. David Easterling and Eld. Doyle Ball officiating. Burial followed at Central Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
