Denver Lee “Denny” Ezell II

Denver Lee “Denny” Ezell II left this world too soon on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the age of 32.
He was first a fiercely devoted husband to his wife, Jennifer, and daddy to his four beautiful babies, Gabby, Brooklyn, Denver III and Sam. As the children’s minister at Pine First Baptist Church, he touched young lives through his passionate devotion to always being “real,” “living in the light” and “loving like Jesus.” A talented musician, he wrote many songs and the theme was always the same: Love. Anyone who knew him for even a short time would attest to his infectious love of life and his caring heart for everyone. His heart was pure gold, and the laughter and joy that radiated from him will live on forever in those he knew. He left us too soon. There is no doubt about that, but his impact on this earth is worth many lifetimes. May each of us find a way to live just one day the way he lived all of his.
Few people leave this earth so assured of an eternal legacy, but what Denny left in each of us will surely live on for generations and this world is a better place for being blessed with him for 32 short years.
His beautiful spirit lives on in his wife, Jennifer; daughters, Gabby and Brooklyn, and sons Denver III and Sam, all of Pine; his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Gerald Curtis of North Little Rock, Ark.; his father, Denver Ezell of Camden, Ark.; brother, Dustin Ezell, and sisters, Ciara Curtis and Kami Curtis, all of North Little Rock, Ark.; his father-in-law, Rawland Crowe of Franklinton; his mother-in-law, Christy Ward of Shreveport; and countless extended family members and friends.
Visitation began Tuesday, July 24 at Pine First Baptist Church at 6 p.m. and will continue until time for the funeral service Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church, with Bro. David Easterling, Bro. Dick King and Bro. Marcus Rosa officiating. Burial will follow at Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery.
