SU Ag Center to hold a free marketing seminar in Franklinton

Interested in marketing your small business but don’t know how?

Join the Center for Rural and Small Business Development of the Southern University Ag Center and the Franklinton Chamber of Commerce for a free “Marketing Your Business” seminar from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25 in the Council Meeting Room in the Franklinton Town Hall, 301 11th Ave.

The seminar is free and open to all small business owners. Participants will learn what it means to market a business and why small business owners should be actively marketing their businesses.

The Center for Rural and Small Business Development was established to provide technical assistance for business creation in economically challenged rural communities and conduct educational programs that develop, improve upon the professional skills of rural entrepreneurs and provide outreach.

The Center also has an E-Learning Center that is equipped with ten computer workstations and can travel to any location to perform onsite business development and computer training in more than 30 parishes within the state of Louisiana.

The E-Learning Center will be present at the seminar and available for tours.

Other training topics conducted by the E-Learning Center include how to start and/or expand a business, develop a business plan, find access to capital, manage cash flow, use a computer, address accounting issues, Quickbooks, branding, the legal aspects of starting a business and other topics applicable to entrepreneurship.
