Nikeya Avery, a native of Franklinton, has been promoted to information technology officer at Trustmark National Bank in Jackson, Miss. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering technology, and a Master of Science degree in engineering technology.

Avery is certified as a Sun web component developer and a Sun programmer for Java 2 Platform 1.4. She also is a data integration programmer and designs, implements and maintains Trustmark’s Contact Center, Sales and Service and Teller System Platforms. She is a member of the New Jerusalem Church in Jackson.�
