Dennis Franson

Dennis Franson, 65, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, at his residence in Ponchatoula after a 13-month battle with cancer.

He was a native of Port Town-send, Wash., but lived in Bogalusa and attended high school there. He was the founder and owner of Complete Electric Motor Company in LaPlace. He built the company from the ground up with the assistance of the wonderful staff that worked with him.

During his spare time, he enjoyed working on many projects on his property and caring for their pets. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed American history, primarily World War II. He and his wife, Betty, loved to travel.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife, Betty Sanders Franson; a sister, Maureen Gaddy and her husband Harold of Franklinton; two brothers, Gary Franson and wife Frances of Fircrest, Wash.; and John Franson of Milton, Wash, as well as eight nieces and two nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lloyd and Mary Franson; a son, Scott Miley Franson; and a brother, Lloyd “Skip” Franson Jr.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21 at the Franson home in Ponchatoula from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
