Fay Rita Eagan Diggs, 83, a resident of Franklinton and a native of New Orleans, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 after an extended illness.

She is survived by five children, Stanley E. Diggs Jr., of Thibodaux, Deborah D. Verberne of Tickfaw, Richard P. Diggs Sr. of Houma, Barry Jude Diggs of Angie and Deanne E. Williams of Franklinton. She is also survived by 42 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 14 at the Kingdom Hall, 42590 Highway 16, Franklinton, at 1 p.m.
