Melvin (Curly) Reeve Fuller, 85, died July 6, 2012, at his residence in Bogalusa.

He was a graduate of Heflin High School and Louisiana State University, and was employed by Gaylord Container/Chemical Plant for 48 years. He was a member and deacon of Lee’s Creek Baptist Church of Bogalusa.

He is survived by four children, Deborah F. (Thomas) Hopkins of Bossier City, David R. (Sherry) Fuller of Park Hills, Mo., and Claudia F. (Ron) Sieger and Melvin R. Fuller II, both of Bogalusa; four grandchildren, Erin H. (Carl) Michels of Ruston, and Kristyna S. (Hector) Dowdy, Stephen M. (Megan) Sieger and Brandon P. Sieger, all Bogalusa; two great-granddaughters, Jillian Elise Dowdy (Paw-Paw’s little “Tweety-Bird”) and Sophia Grace Dowdy (Paw-Paw’s little “Mockingbird”), both of Bogalusa, and one great-grandson, Adam Thomas Michels; one sister, Betty J. Fuller Goodwin of Pioneer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Mason Fuller; his parents, Claude and Cecie Fuller; and one brother, John David Fuller.

Visitation will be held Monday at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Josh Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Lee’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
