Frances Tullos Mitchell, 79, a resident of Bush, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Northshore Specialty Hospital in Covington. She was born Jan. 2, 1932.

She is survived by three children: Gary (Judy) Mitchell of Covington, Ronnie (Debbie) Mitchell of Bush and Cheryl (Stephen) Corcoran of Carriere, Miss.; four grandchildren: Lynette (Grant) Nielson, Todd (Rachel) Wells, Derek (Hillary) Mitchell and Trent (Whitney) Johnson; three great-grandchildren: Alexis Nielson, Katelyn and Hailee Wells; three sisters: Willyene T. Branch of Covington, Liz (Tommy) Smith and Pat (Richard) Maples, both of Baton Rouge; one brother, Jimmy (Donna) Tullos of Jasper, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray Mitchell, and one sister, Carolyn Penton.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 26 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Eld. Jesse Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
