Thelma Louise Hart Fisher was born to the late Thomas Hart and Ozzie Mae Brumfield Hart on May 26, 1944. She was the second of seven children. She was married to the late Johnny Fisher and to this union two children were born. She was a graduate of Washington Parish High in the class of 1961.
She lived and worked in New Orleans for several years finally settling in Franklinton. She worked for the family of Dr. Gerald Foret for over 20 years.
The joy of Louise’s life was her family. She was happiest when her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were with her. Spending time with them and making memories was her mission in life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Fisher; her parents, Thomas and Ozzie Mae Hart; a grandson, Michael T. Fisher: a great-grandson, Braylon Zion Abernathy, Atlanta, Ga., and a son-in-law, the Rev. John Whitfield.
She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Pastor Johnette (the Rev. John) Whitfield, Daphne, Ala.; one son, Michael J. Fisher (Sonya), Baton Rouge, La.; three brothers, Carlis (Joyce) Hart, Thomas Hart (Barbara), Franklinton, La., Bennie J. Hart (Louise)Mt. Herman, La.; three sisters, Corrine Hart (Ronnie), Mary Henderson (Victor) Franklinton, La. and Beatrice Gardner, Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Jolanda Amey (Min. Justin), Spanish Fort, Ala., Siobahn Fisher Lawrence, Warner Robins, Ga., Jovell (Krista) Davis, Daphne, Ala., Michael T. Fisher, Franklinton, La., John B. Whitfield, Daphne, Ala., M’Kayla Fisher, Atlanta Ga., Maya Fisher and D’zekiel Fisher, Prair, La.; great-grandchildren, Jalen Davis, Kensley Amey, Justin Amey II, and Karsen Amey, Spanish Fort, Ala., Morris Davis, Mobile, Ala., Gabriel Fisher and Tremaine Lawrence, Warner Robins, Ga., Amir Davis, Lyric Nero, Ryder Nero, Kingston Davis, Daphne, Ala., and extended family, Dr. Gerald Foret and the late Gayle Foret, Dr. Chris and Julie Foret, and a bonus granddaughter, Dr. Ashley Foret; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends will cherish wonderful memories.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. New Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Causey, Pastor, and the Rev. Tim Amey, Officiating. Interment, New Life Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home, Franklinton are in charge of arrangements
