Bogalusa Police Deparment make arrest in shooting incident

On Thursday, November 21, 2024, The Bogalusa Police Department responded to a call of shots fired in the 1700 block of Dolly Ave.
An investigation was initiated which indicated that a disturbance had taken place resulting in shots being fired. Officers located numerous shell casings in the area as well as a vehicle that had been hit by gunfire. It was learned that 22-year-old Justin Mark fired shots in the direction of at least three victims. Mark then fled the scene as a passenger in a vehicle along with 21-year-old Carlos Interiano as well as another passenger, 24-year-old Damien Thomas.
Arrest warrants were obtained for all three subjects on numerous felony charges.
Interiano was located and arrested on November 23, 2024. Arrest warrants are still pending for Justin Mark and Damien Thomas.
Chief James Smith said, “The Police Department will continue to work to prevent these types of crimes, it’s unfortunate that some individuals choose to bring chaos and violence to our streets. I commend the work of the officers and detectives in this case, it is a testament to their dedication to keeping Bogalusa safe”.
