From The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office
We are excited to welcome our newest POST-Certified deputy to the ranks and look forward to making her a part of our growing team here in Washington Parish.
On Friday, Nov 8, Deputy Brittney Rick graduated from the Slidell Regional Police Academy along with law enforcement officers from other agencies around the region. After 17-weeks of grueling training, class #69 will join Louisiana’s Law Enforcement community and begin doing their part to make our community a safer place.
Deputy Rick, 35, from Prairieville, LA, began her Law Enforcement Career with the Kentwood Police Department earlier this year before hiring on with WPSO and getting a slot at the training academy to become a fully certified patrol deputy. Prior to that, she was a CrossFit coach and gym owner.
Rick said, “I’m ready to learn and hone my skills. The Field Training Officers I’ll be learning from have vast law-enforcement experience and I look forward to soaking it all in. It’s an honor to serve the people of Washington Parish.”
Congratulations to Deputy Rick and her family, and welcome to the team!
The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office currently has more future deputies in POST-certification training, and we are excited to continue to grow and continue our mission of a more peaceful, safer Washington Parish.
