Bowling Green Dominates St. Aloysius 34-6, Advances to Semi-Finals

The Bowling Green Buccaneers continued their impressive playoff run, defeating the St. Aloysius Flashes 34-6 in a quarter-final showdown to advance to the MAIS District 4A semi-finals. An efficient mix of rushing and passing powered the Bucs’ offense to over 500 yards, with standout plays on both sides of the ball.

Quarterback Maddox Magee set the tone early, connecting with Rayden Rayborn for a touchdown on the opening drive. Rayborn later added a second touchdown, while Preston Jarrell’s interception further energized the Bucs, allowing them to quickly widen their lead. By halftime, Bowling Green led 28-0, with a key 99.5-yard drive capped off by a Bubby Bryant touchdown run. Magee also scored on a quarterback run in the fourth quarter, closing the game at 34-6.

Leading rushers included Rayborn, who carried the ball five times for 68 yards, and Bryant, with 52 yards on six carries. Magee completed 7 of 10 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Strong defensive performances came from Cam Seal and Bryce Graham with sacks, while J.P. Brumfield and Brody Estave led in tackles.

Bowling Green will host Wayne Academy, the number six seed, in a semi-final matchup at W.E. “Buck” Hellen Stadium in Franklinton. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15. The Bucs hope to see strong fan support as they aim for a place in the championship game.

To ease entry, fans are encouraged to purchase presale tickets, available for $10 each at the school office until noon on Thursday, November 14. Tickets can also be bought at the gate on game day. Reserved Parking Pass holders should enter through the visitor gate, while general parking is available via Varnado Street in front of the school. Note: Reserved Parking Pass holders still need to pay for game admission, and Buc Passes are not valid for free entry during playoff games.
