Sandy B. Oliver, age 98 and resident of Bogalusa, La., died at her home on July 28, 2024.

She was born on Jan. 6, 1926 and graduated high school at Burlingame High in California. She worked for Pacific Bell as a telephone operator for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Albert A. Oliver; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Gerrie and Bob Vasquez of Calif., Bobbe and David Lajon of San Jose, Calif., Ruby Oliver and Angela Oliver of Bogalusa.

She had eight grandchildren, Joey Vasquez, Antonia Parra, Jenifer Lajon, Aaliyah Chacon, Caralyn (Dylan) Llewellyn, Michelle Tuson, Kristy Tuson, Amber Halfen; 12 great-grandchildren, Monique Guevara, Ruben Guevara Jr., Michdel Guevra, Summer Tuson, Allyssa Tuson, Bryan Tuson, Savannah Tuson, Aaliyah Tuson, Josh Tuson, Madison Halfen, Kayla Halfen and Sadie Halfen.

Along with nine great-great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Geri and Bosco Brian; her aunt, Theresa; her grandson, Danny Vasquez, and great-granddaughter, Faith Hope Halfen.
